We are a charitable association with no profit motive. It is about the cause: fewer people in our country going hungry.
We are non-partisan and neutral and are financed exclusively by private donations, not by institutional funding.
Only people who can prove financial hardship receive an entitlement card. This is checked by social services offices, Caritas, IfS and other bodies.
Costs of €15 correspond to around 30 kg of food worth about €150. We usually receive the food as donations.
What we need donations for
The costs arise mainly from warehouses and cold stores, vans, maintenance, fuel and electricity, rent, staff and administration. This way more than 2,000 tonnes of food are rescued and distributed every year.
