About us
An idea in Vandans became a network for the whole of Vorarlberg.
Elmar and Margit Stüttler founded the association in February 2005. Today volunteers distribute food every week at five locations and run three social markets.
Our vision
“A world without poverty and people in need, and a legal ban on food waste.”
First and foremost we are concerned with our own sphere of influence: the people who live here. We live in a wealthy country, which is exactly why we are convinced that we can do it.
Our mission
Nobody living in our country should have to go hungry or thirsty. We look where others look away, and we get on with it. Doing, not talking.
Our history
- February 2005Elmar and Margit Stüttler found the association in Vandans in the Montafon.
- April 2005The first food is distributed in Feldkirch and Dornbirn.
- Summer 2005Bludenz, Götzis and Bregenz join as distribution points.
- 2011Toni Russ Prize and Great Decoration of Honour of the State of Vorarlberg.
- 2015Ten years of Tischlein deck dich, the first large cold store goes into operation.
- 2022A photovoltaic system reduces electricity costs.
- 2025Twenty years, and the first MIN-GUATA-LADA open in Feldkirch-Tosters and Bludenz.
- January 2026The MIN-GUATA-LADA in Dornbirn opens.
